Abstract: Chief physician Tan Kaiwen is one of the famous doctors of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Nanning city, whohas been engaged in clinical work for more than 30 years and paid attention to the treatment of apoplexy by the integration of externaltreatment and internal conditioning. He created “medicine stick along the meridian pushing therapy” to treat apoplexy hemiplegia andrationally uses TCM cream formula in the body to achieve the balance of “yin and Yang”. The purpose of this article is to summarize TanKaiwen’s academic thought and clinical application in treating apoplexy, so as to provide references for the treatment of apoplexy.
